Mr. Netherland is responsible, along with
Harish Raghavan, for strategy and overall firm execution.
He directly manages the firm’s relationships with insurance
carriers and the insurance industry. Mr. Netherland has significant
professional experience within the insurance industry. In
1974, he joined the Netherland Insurance Agency, started by
his father in 1934. He took over management of the agency
in the 1980s, and has grown it to be one of the predominant
brokers of life insurance in the Southeast. Mr. Netherland
was named one of the top-producing agents in the country in
1980, and was awarded Wilson Learning’s “Ten Most
Outstanding New Insurance Agents” designation by The
National Life Insurance Company of Vermont. Mr. Netherland
has continuously been a top producer for multiple companies
in the US and abroad. He is also a lifetime member of the
Million Dollar roundtable, former member of the Top of the
Table for many years and currently serves as a member of the
Advanced Association of Life Underwriters. He holds membership
in Who’s Who in Healthcare and Who’s Who in Finance.
Mr. Netherland received his BS with
honors from the University of Tennessee, majoring in Insurance
with Double Minors in Finance and Accounting. He holds designations
as both a Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial
Consultant.
