Mr. Thompson heads the U.S. Capital Markets
effort for InsCap, focused on developing new products and
structures as well as managing day to day relationships with
sources of capital and service providers. Mr. Thompson’s
background prior to joining InsCap was focused on financial
markets. Mr. Thompson served as Vice President with UBS Financial
Services, where his primary responsibility was assisting InsCap
in managing its first securitization transaction in mid 2003.
Mr. Thompson served as the Group Head of the CIBC World Markets
Special Transactions Group, which provided innovative solutions
to upper middle market financial sponsors and entrepreneurs,
solutions ranging from middle market leveraged finance to
interest rate and debt and equity risk derivatives. Mr. Thompson
also served as a Vice President with Salomon Smith Barney,
focused on delivering derivative transactional solutions to
venture funds and entrepreneurial investors with concentrated
debt and equity risk.
Mr. Thompson earned a BS degree in International
Politics from Georgetown University.
